Role Overview: This position requires a person to transform components from a machined state to a complete, finished product while working in a team environment. This position works under minimal supervision. What will you be doing? This position requires a person to transform components from a machined state to a complete, finished product while working in a team environment. This position works under minimal supervision. Finish Implant components and sub-assemblies including but not limited to: * Assemble and deburr sub-assembly components by means of basic finishing processes such as bending, fitting, grinding, sharpening, deburring, bead blasting, tumbling, and basic blending and polishing. * When required, operate EDM equipment to manufacture product per print. * Complete assigned training on time. Work in a team environment using the skills of communicating, listening and participating in developing continuous improvement on products and processes. What will you need to be successful? Education: High School diploma or equivalent License/certification: Must be able to successfully achieve certified operator status where applicable Experience: 0-6 months experience of medical devices is required. Competencies: Must be able to read/write English, have basic math skills and show good attention to detail with paperwork. Legible handwriting a must. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $27, 76 - $41,70 or hourly. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
