The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates imaging equipment and software, mostly nuclear medicine imaging equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires expertise in operating specialized equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards, all while prioritizing effective patient communication and safety. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Position Details:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and required clinical hours have been completed. Experience: no experience required Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Certification/Registration: NMTCB or ARRT (N) OR Registry eligible (achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements: * Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. * Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. * Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
