Job Summary: The Minibar Attendant is responsible for ensuring the minibar in guest rooms remains stocked, and the minibar fridge is in clean and working condition at all times. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stock/restock minibar
- Maintain cleanliness of minibar
- Take accurate inventory of minibar items, paying close attention to expiration/best by dates
- Report equipment repair needs to management team
- Abide by cleaning, sanitation, and safety standards of work areas and other regulatory standards
- Display professionalism and provide five-star service to guests and fellow co-workers at all times
- Relay any guest requests and/or concerns to management team
- Adhere to Forbes 5-Star Standards set forth by the hotel
Work Conditions:
- Work tasks are performed alone and without direct supervision
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems
- Work tasks are performed standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and grasping
- Standing and walking occur approximately 80-85% of the work shift
- Walking occurs repetitively through guestrooms, hallways, public areas and back of the house areas of hotel
- Pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs occurs approximately 80% the time.
- Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally)
- Reaching occurs frequently to continuously throughout the work shift. The most common reaching activities are at or below shoulder level, and generally all aspects of the job
- Crouching, bending, stooping and kneeling occur frequently, generally in restocking minibar
- Twisting and turning occur frequently, generally in such activities loading/unloading carts and general cleaning
- Grasping occurs continuously throughout the work shift
- Talking and hearing occur occasionally in communicating with co-workers and supervisors
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision, color vision and depth perception.
- Some work tasks are performed on carpeted surfaces, while others are performed on tiled or hard surfaces
- Some work tasks require employee to come in contact with hazardous chemicals. Employee must use precaution and personal protective equipment
- Some work tasks are performed with the use of cleaning equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous Minibar Attendant experience or 1 year of equivalent experience. Knowledge of luxury hotel operations a plus
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in verbal and written English. Ability to speak an additional language a plus
- Proven time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must be willing to learn and adhere to Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Forbes' Five Star Standards
- Must have open availability
