Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Test Technician to perform functional, performance, and environmental testing on electronic components and assemblies. This role supports product development and manufacturing by executing test procedures, analyzing data, troubleshooting failures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electronic test equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation in a laboratory environment.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing on electronic components, circuit cards, and assemblies.



  • Assist in developing and maintaining test procedures, test plans, and documentation for new and existing products.



  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.



  • Record, analyze, and interpret test data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance concerns.



  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test failures and product defects.



  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical and product-related issues.



  • Maintain detailed and accurate test records, logs, and reports in accordance with established standards.



  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols.



  • Read and interpret schematics, datasheets, military specifications, and other technical documentation.




Job Requirements




  • 2 to 4 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, electrical testing, and electronics.



  • 1 to 2 years of experience troubleshooting and testing electronic circuit cards.



  • 1 to 2 years of experience reading and interpreting military specifications and electronic schematics.



  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, including circuit analysis and system-level concepts.



  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit principles.



  • Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment in a laboratory or academic setting.



  • Proficiency in using multimeters and other standard measurement instruments.



  • Familiarity with measurement techniques, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting processes.



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.




Education

Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.

Work Experience




  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting.



  • Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing test environment is preferred.



  • Experience with automated test systems or scripting languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB is preferred.



  • Exposure to PCB-level debugging, soldering, and rework techniques is preferred.



  • Familiarity with compliance testing (EMC, safety, thermal), manufacturing test processes, test fixtures, and industry standards such as IPC, ISO, or MIL-STD is preferred.
