Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary by operations & staff management):



  • Develop basic detail drawings for existing and new machinery as well as layouts for the facility
  • Assist in managing ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Collect and analyze data from different machine work centers to improve production efficiency or yield.
  • Work with other operations employees to overcome production limitations or bottlenecks by implementing new procedures or equipment to the process.
  • Perform and verify calculations for design and analytical information.
  • Write technical reports for project findings.


Experience you will gain:



  • Hands-on engineering problem solving
  • In person management of installations
  • Completing technical guides for operations and training operators how to safely run machines
  • Design new and different tools and equipment for operations
  • Design modification(s) for existing machinery
  • Manage contracting employees
  • Networking opportunities with engineers in the field of manufacturing and engineering


Skills and Abilities



  • Interest in design and verification of existing machinery and providing justification for adding or removing machines
  • Basic understanding of industrial engineering and theory of constraints
  • Basic understanding of thermodynamics
  • Problem solving/critical thinking to assess project processing capabilities
  • Excellent collaboration with employees across job functions and levels
  • Ability to work in laboratory, office, and shop floor settings
  • Active learner with excellent time management skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication, organization skills
  • Ability to comply with and enforce company, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Microsoft office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint


Education



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
