Location: New York, NY 10017

Job Type: Contract 4+ Months

Job Mode: On-Site

Pay rate: $26.00/hour on w2 without benefits

Shift hours: Monday through Friday from Regular Shifts

Job Description:

First Line Help Desk Support:


  • Monitor all request-related queues for Maintenance and Building service requests via Service Manager
  • Appropriately dispatch service calls to the corresponding assignment groups (Maintenance Team, Building Management or Outside Vendors, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Act as first point of contact to respond, register, and route customer calls, e-mails and complaints to proper channels for resolution
  • Ensure that all interactions / incidents are recorded; and provide first resolution using standard operating procedures, scripts and resources using intranet and internet, when applicable
  • Liaise with Maintenance Team and Building Management on resolution of incidents
  • Escalate higher level service requests to upper management for review or approval
  • Track and monitor incidents throughout its life-cycle, including providing regular updates and verification of completion of services until closure of service request
  • Maintain booking schedules via MS Sharepoint, coordinate conference room setup, with internal and external parties, and requests for special services.


Help Desk Support:

  • Process UN ID grounds passes for all non-staff (Consultants, Volunteers, Interns, etc.) that require access into the HQ buildings. Register and encode building cards for access.
  • Draft and maintain logs of memos relating to building services, grounds passes, security and other related correspondence.
  • Process business card requests and distribute invoices.
  • Prepare property passes for staff upon request.
  • Manage the UNICEF Bulletin Boards.
  • Perform other help desk, hospitality and conference related services as requested by the supervisor.


Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working Knowledge of MS SharePoint or service ticketing systems a plus.
  • Professional, courteous, responsive, customer service oriented and excellent People's skills, Fluent in English; good oral and written communication skills , second language a plus.
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.


Education and Experience

  • High School Graduation or higher.
  • Formal computer training desirable.
  • Previous clerical experience; previous Help Desk experience a plus.
