EMI Services is hiring a Work Order Reception to act as the first point of contact for customer needing repairs, maintenance, or services. The Work Order Receptionist ensures that all incoming maintenance or service requests are recorded accurately and dispatched to the appropriate department in a timely manner. They provide excellent customer service, manage schedules, and maintain up-to-date records of repair requests.

Salary

$26.33/ hr. plus $10.00 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Responsibilities
  • Receive work orders, gathering all necessary details regarding the service requested
  • Accurately input, update, and close out work orders in tracking software
  • Communicate with technicians or maintenance staff to assign tasks, provide details, and ensure prompt response times
  • Provide updates to clients on the status of their work orders, manage expectations, and resolve inquiries regarding scheduling
  • Coordinate and schedule service appointments, preventing conflicts
  • Generate reports on pending, in-progress, and completed work orders for management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with CMS/database software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of requests
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to EMI Services, our customers, vendors and employees
  • Adaptable and flexible in work situations
  • Establish priorities to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner
  • PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies
    • Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years in a related administrative position or formal vocational/technical training in office work
  • Regular, dependable attendance
  • Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID or willing and able to obtain
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • U.S. citizenship to Obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
  • Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances
  • Extensive work with a personal computer
  • May require lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance
  • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
  • May require climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
