Position Title: Press Brake Operator
Salary: $45,760-$54,080/year Shift: 2nd Hours: 4:30pm-3am Monday-Thursday Join a dynamic team as a Skilled Press Brake Operator, responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialized skills in metal forming and contribute to high-quality automotive manufacturing. This is a direct hire role in Liberty, MO. Press Brake Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set stops on press brake machines and change dies to prepare for production runs - Adjust machine components such as the ram or power press to ensure precise and consistent bends - Operate power presses, hydraulic presses, and apron brakes according to technical specifications - Install, align, and secure gears, dies, and fixtures using gauges, templates, shims, and hand tools - Measure and inspect workpieces for defects, verifying dimensions and weight with micrometers, templates, and scales - Plan and execute a sequence of operations based on material properties and job specifications - Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime - Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production process Press Brake Operator Requirements: - No prior experience required - On-site presence is mandatory - Comfortable performing routine lifting and handling tasks as needed during setup and operation, with occasional lifting of parts weighing up to 50 pounds - Use of hand tools, gauges, and measurement devices - Mandatory overtime may be required based on production needs - Dress code includes safety attire, with specific PPE to be provided QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
