Position Title: Structural Welder
Wage: $27.00-$31.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 03:00 pm - 11:00 pm QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Structural Welder at a company in Oak Creek, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! Join us as a Welder and play a key role in our growing team in Oak Creek. We are seeking skilled welders with 3G welding experience who are ready to contribute to high-quality, precision-driven projects. As a welder, you'll work with heavy plate steel, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of welded components while maintaining the company's high standards. Structural Welder Responsibilities: - Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding operations using FCAW (flux-cored arc welding) and other techniques on heavy plate steel components. - Blueprint Reading: Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to complete projects accurately. - Inspection & Quality Control: Ensure welds meet internal specifications and industry standards; conduct inspections to guarantee quality. - Welding Positions: Work in multiple welding positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead), with 3G welding experience and the ability to pass a 2G weld test. - Equipment Setup: Properly set up welding equipment and materials for each job. - Maintenance & Repair: Use angle grinders and other tools to prepare materials, and repair or modify components as needed. Requirements for Structural Welder: - 3G welding experience (in multiple positions). - Ability to pass a 2G weld test. - At least 2 years of experience in welding with FCAW (.052, 1/16, 3/32). - Experience with heavy plate welding for structural projects. - Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. - Knowledge of welding safety regulations and procedures.
