Sigma Defense is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering practices and contribute to the development of new Sigma Defense products.

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong interest in CAD/CAM design. The candidate should have a basic understanding of Electrical Engineering principles and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microcontrollers, Spice Simulations, CAD/CAM software is preferred.
  • Some familiarity with circuit and PCB simulation software. (KiCAD, LTSpice, etc.).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Education Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ideally second semester sophomore and above.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Assist in the preparation of manufacturing drawings to ensure the document contains all pertinent information the manufacturer needs to successfully complete the job.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production team to understand current challenges faced in the production process and offer solutions that produce a better-quality product, increase assembly efficiency, and/or reduce overall cost of the product.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to provide project updates, new ideas, and improvement on existing products.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
