Child Life Specialist Child Life Services - ICN (Intensive Care Nursery) Full Time 88196BR Job Summary This position is focused in the Intensive Care Nursery. The Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) plays a pivotal role, building a sustainable, developmentally supportive, and family-centered program. Focusing on the unique neurodevelopmental needs of premature infants, the CCLS will build a service incorporating education, play and sensory regulation techniques. Supports caregiver bonding to create healthy attachments and offers interventions that address medical trauma, long-term hospitalization and uncertain outcomes. Coordinates programming and special events for pediatric patients and their families in Child Life Services programming spaces. Provides orientation and supervision for Child Life Services interns and volunteers. Assists in training and orientation of new hires. Works under the supervision of the Child Life Director. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $40.63 - $54.92 (Hourly Rate).
