Summary: This position supports HLD/CS Branch with plan integration. The work will be conducted on site at NGB TARC Arlington, VA.

Job Description:



  • Support HLD/CS Branch with state plan integration
  • Working group participation and coordination
  • Supervise Joint Training
  • Meeting prep and coordination, JSPS, document production, plan development and review
  • Campaign plan support, liaison with NGB stakeholders, IPRs, DOMOPS meetings
  • Provide real-time support to NGB J5-J (J55) led or attended working groups supporting the NG Joint Staff
  • Observe and take notes during meetings, ensuring accurate tracking of the issues, concerns, requests for information, tasks, and responsibilities
  • Conduct strategic research and analysis to include background research, strategic estimates, strategic guidance assessments, and data analysis to inform the NGB-J5-J (J55)
  • Support the development of NGB strategic communications and congressional reports
  • Coordinate with Strategic Communications Point of Contact
  • Collect and compile comments and data from stakeholders and use comment resolution matrix to track, resolve and recommend adjudication measures for discrepancies
  • 5.5-Provide analysis of policy statements, speeches, and publications made by government officials
  • Utilize the Joint Strategic Planning System
  • Provide insights and implications in reports for the National Guard
  • Conduct ongoing research and analysis of strategic documents addressing emergent topics and security challenges
  • Monitor and Review updates to key documents
  • Support NGB J5-J (J55) by scheduling, coordinating and participating in J5-J related meetings
  • Perform plan development and review functions for the NGB J5-J
  • Provide analysis of discussion topics, including outlining, National Guard equities and highlighting potential talking points for senior leaders
  • Review CCMD Campaign Plans based on NGB-J5 priorities
  • Provide recommendations to the NGB-J5-J regarding National Guard equities and their incorporation into National Guard planning.
  • Support Enterprise Task Management System 2 (ETMS2) Tasks
  • Provide trip reports when traveling in accordance with required task


Required Qualifications:



  • 5 to 10 years Plans/Analyst experience
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Knowledge of NG plans and operations
  • Joint Planners Course or equivalent
  • CGSC/ILE or equivalent
