Senior Corrugator Training and Operations Specialist


The Senior Corrugator Training and Operations Specialist will provide training and support for the corrugator teams throughout the company. The position reports directly to the Process Technology Director and is closely aligned with the Corporate Maintenance and Reliability Team. This role will also support the Process Technology Team and assist with Capital Projects to solve operational issues through the following methods: training, development of best practices, and implementing fundamental throughput principles at the plants.


This key leadership position is an integral part of the PCA's effort to provide substantial resources to the plants in the form of hands-on training, troubleshooting, and guiding continuous improvement efforts. The Senior Corrugator Training and Operations Specialist is expected to have an expert level of knowledge of corrugator operations, various OEM corrugator systems and controls, and have experience training others on corrugator operations and best practices.


Relocation is not required - must be willing to travel 75% to PCA locations throughout the US.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Support the plants in establishing Safe Working Practices and a clean, injury-free work environment.
  • Support new corrugator projects and startups.
  • Participate in planning discussions about capital planning and equipment considerations.
  • Evaluate, develop, establish corrugator PM practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of steam systems and corrugator heat troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of corrugator adhesives and distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of the mechanical systems associated with a corrugator.
  • Knowledge of the quality control systems and the OEM machine control systems.
  • Ability to travel to various PCA corrugator plants as required to support capital projects or improvement efforts.
  • Review cause/frequency/downtime analytics.
  • Perform DT analysis and RCFA analysis to improve PM processes.
  • Provide feedback to the Production Manager and Area Operations Manager on the corrugator Team.
  • Evaluate productivity, reliability and capability issues and provide feedback.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Previous supervisory and leadership experience on corrugators.
  • Coaching, training, teambuilding and performance management experience.


  • High School Diploma required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Solid analytical, mechanical, and organizational skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Solid knowledge of maintenance of corrugated and packaging equipment.
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing systems including common software.


Skills:



  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with all levels from operators to executives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and communicate with a diverse team of people to accomplish complex objectives.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary range for position: $108,500-$155,000.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
