Registered Dietitian Inova Health is seeking Registered Dietitians to join our expanding clinical nutrition team. We are looking for self-motivated, registered dietitians that want to be part of a high performing team with a goal of providing world class nutrition care for every patient that we have the privilege to serve. Opportunities for full-time and part-time day shifts working Monday- Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. PRN position could cover patients at all Inova Hospitals allowing for up to 40 hours per week coverage if there is a coverage need. Job Responsibilities:
- The Dietitian provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
- Provides clinical services and acts as a resource to physicians, nurses and other professional healthcare team members, to provide patients with optimum nutritional care.
- Coordinates the nutrition care plan with the physician and other healthcare providers while serving as a resource in the integration of the nutrition care plan into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient.
- Formulates an individualized nutrition plan of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- Collects performance improvement data, monitors outcomes and implements corrective actions.
- Recognizes trends in patient populations, explores alternatives to care and makes revisions to standards.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Registered Dietitian Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a master's degree
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) required within 3 months of hire
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire
Dietitian Clinical Specialist Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a master's degree
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) required upon start
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 Months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inpatient experience
- Oncology experience
- Completion of clinical internship
- RDN Certified
