Located at the USU flagship campus in Logan, Utah, this position advances USU's mission as a land-grant, public service university and strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration with the Heravi Peace Institute. The Department of Social Work is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities through strengths-based, empowering, and inclusive approaches. Consistent with our land-grant mission and our investment in community-engaged scholarship and practice, we seek a candidate with demonstrated expertise in peacebuilding and conflict transformation whose work bridges social work and peace studies. This position includes teaching responsibilities in the Department of Social Work and the Heravi Peace Institute. The successful candidate will contribute to courses such as Introduction to Peace Studies and Spirituality in Social Work, and may develop additional coursework that integrates peacebuilding, restorative practices, nonviolent conflict resolution, trauma-informed approaches, and community resilience.
