DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Print Production Technician, you will be responsible for completing mail production activities in a fast-paced environment using the latest technologies. Work involves setting up and operating mail equipment as well as performing quality assurance and quality control inspections to ensure print quality is consistent throughout the entire run and all work is completed within scheduled deadlines. You will also be responsible for performing hand-related bindery tasks including comb binding, spiral binding, banding, padding, and envelope insertion; and packing, wrapping, and sealing materials for delivery. You will have the opportunity to function as a lead worker for print production activities by assigning and reviewing work, training employees, and performing quality control functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment in a 24 hour per day, 5 days a week facility
- Work schedules include a 30 minute lunch:
- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday - Friday
- 3:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday - Friday
- 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM Sunday - Thursday
- This position is considered essential. You will be required to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Print Production Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience running production equipment.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
