DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Training Specialist, you will be tasked with ensuring staff receive accurate, accessible training materials aligned with approved business processes. You will be responsible for strengthening readiness for the future transition from COTTS to SuccessFactors by building internal Learning Management System (LMS) capability and maintaining consistent training standards. Work involves providing administrative and technical support to Workforce Development by developing, maintaining, and delivering training materials. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of micro learning content and assist with internal communications materials, including visual content used for Office of the Budget messaging.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available after 6 months of satisfactory performance.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have two years of experience developing technical or systems-based training materials.
- You must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You must have two years of experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- You must have two years of experience creating basic visual or communication materials such as graphics, templates, or short form content.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience supporting SAP or other ERP system training
- Experience creating multimedia instructional content using eLearning or screen recording tools
- Experience developing microlearning content (short videos, quick tips, or similar formats)
- Experience creating instructional materials, job aids, or eLearning content
- Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System
- Knowledge of business process documentation or workflow analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly training materials
- Experience delivering training in virtual or in-person settings
- Experience creating basic visual or communication materials for internal messaging or social media
- Experience supporting or maintaining training content within a Learning Management System
