  • Draft and maintain accounting memoranda on complex transactions (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 805, etc.).

  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close process through preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.

  • Assist with accounting analyses for business combinations, asset acquisitions, valuations, and impairment reviews.

  • Participate in the preparation and review of accounting policies and internal controls.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for external auditors, including gathering data and organizing evidence.

  • Help analyze stock-based compensation grants, modifications, and expense tracking under ASC 718.

  • Support ad-hoc projects including process improvements, accounting policy updates, and system implementation activities.

  • Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Tax, and external consultants as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Completion of Intermediate Accounting I required; Intermediate Accounting II preferred.

  • Strong interest in technical accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting.

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP concepts and financial statement basics.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong written communication skills, especially in formal memo drafting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Prior internship experience in accounting, audit, or finance.

  • Familiarity with accounting research tools (ASC Codification, Big 4 guidance).

  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday) is a plus.

Relationship with Others/Scope of Position:

The intern will collaborate with members of the Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, Tax, and Treasury teams, as well as external audit personnel. The role involves cross-functional communication to gather information, validate assumptions, and ensure technical accounting conclusions are accurately documented. Work is performed under supervision but requires initiative, curiosity, and a high degree of professionalism.
