KPMG is currently seeking a State and Local Tax Associate, Content Enablement to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of generative AI technologies and digital tools within the SALT practice, independently driving enhancements in tax research methodologies and maintaining tax application content
  • Conduct advanced tax analysis to align AI applications with complex state and local tax regulations, making decisions to optimize compliance strategies
  • Independently assess and support decision-making processes, delivering actionable insights to for elevation and strategic review
  • Spearhead training initiatives, independently developing programs to transition staff to AI-integrated compliance methods and facilitating their use of KGS
  • Oversee the management and compliance of tax-related content, making strategic decisions to ensure regulatory adherence and alignment with firm standards.
  • Contribute to and leads continuous improvement and innovation efforts, integrating new techniques from CSDtraining curriculum into practical applications
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of recent experience in tax compliance or a related advisory role
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field is required
  • Proven ability to swiftly learn, retain, and make independent decisions based on complex tax information, managing high-velocity workloads and critical deadlines effectively, demonstrating a significant level of independent decision-making and accountability
  • Expertise in AI applications and proficiency in tax technology tools, with the ability to independently optimize their use is preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office applications, providing comprehensive data analysis and insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to independently articulate complex findings and influence strategic decision-making
