TEKsystems is partnering with our client to hire a *Technical Sales Manager* who will play a key role in supporting channel partners and driving the adoption of our client's products. This role requires strong channel management experience, technical aptitude, and the ability to communicate confidently with customers and representatives across North America.
*Position Overview* The Technical Sales Manager will own and strengthen customer and partner relationships throughout the U.S. and Canada. You will be responsible for revenue growth, technical support, commercial strategy, and representative management. This role combines technical knowledge with strong sales strategy and leadership capabilities. *Key Responsibilities* *Customer & Channel Management* * Lead and manage customer relationships across the U.S. and Canada. * Drive revenue growth through OEMs, distributors, manufacturer representatives, and end users. * Manage and support independent manufacturer representatives, ensuring accountability to sales targets and pipeline development. * Coordinate national account strategies and act as a primary liaison between customers, representatives, engineering, operations, and leadership. *Sales Strategy & Commercial Execution* * Lead quotation strategies, pricing alignment, and commercial negotiations. * Maintain forecasting accuracy, pipeline visibility, and opportunity management. * Provide commercial and technical guidance on quotes, opportunities, and customer communications. *Technical Support & Application Guidance* * Deliver first-line technical assistance, including product selection, application recommendations, and troubleshooting. * Review customer specifications, requirements, and application details. * Serve as the technical escalation point prior to engineering involvement. * Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on complex technical issues. * Support internal teams to ensure strong understanding of products and their applications. *Leadership & Team Development* * Directly manage and develop two order entry associates. * Provide mentorship, support, and structure to enhance team performance. *Skills & Qualifications* *Required:* * Prior B2B sales experience in a technical environment. * Experience working with manufacturer reps, distributors, or OEM customers. * Technical proficiency with: * Discrete signals * Temperature measurement (thermocouples, RTDs) * Discrete DC signals * Frequency inputs * Strong customer communication skills and relationship management ability. * Excellent commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and organizational discipline. *Preferred:* * Electronics Engineering degree (strongly preferred but not required). * Previous leadership or team mentorship experience. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Libertyville, IL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $45.67/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
