Who we are and what we do:

TennCare is Tennessee's managed care Medicaid program that provides health insurance coverage to certain groups of low-income individuals such as pregnant women, children, caretaker relatives of young children, older adults, and adults with physical disabilities. TennCare provides coverage for approximately 1.7 million Tennesseans and operates with an annual budget of approximately $14 billion. It is run by the Division of TennCare with oversight and some funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Job Overview:

  • Serve as a customer service champion with onboarding coordination,
  • organize DAY ONE sessions for new contractors,
  • prepare orientation materials and ensure smooth setup of access credentials, while acting as a liaison between CAM Director and internal / external team members.
  • Co-facilitate using systems the contract resource lifecycle, including administrative tasks for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Monitor two (2) shared email accounts, including calendar management.
  • Assist team by analyzing inventory reports, as well as verify monthly billing using various databases.
  • Maintain general and direct support contractor / vendor contact information for multi-unit operations.
  • Facilitate semi-monthly team touchpoints, providing space for debriefing and briefing while recording Minutes.
  • Support the CAM team in special projects, assignments or tasks provided by CAM Director.
  • Document and update to publish CAM's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Join CAM Director in System Enhancement (ENHC) meetings for supportive tracking and documenting.
  • Maintain and modify protected system, Active Directory User Computer (ADUC), for mass communication efforts.
  • Periodically audit shared files, ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agency transfer or internal transfer:
  • Provide scope of current responsibilities and skills.
  • Responsible for maintaining the billing system for customers and vendors, while keeping accurate receivable files and records.
  • Generating account invoices, statements, and account adjustments.
  • Assisting with account management and data entry.
  • Investigating and resolving account irregularities and discrepancies while providing account reconciliations and managing delinquent accounts.
  • Monitor and respond to inbound emails received in the CAM shared mailbox
  • Ensures accurate inventory of assets and verify monthly billing by assisting and utilizing various databases
  • Maintain and manage contractor contact information for TennCare in support of communication and business operations
  • Collect and arrange transactional information from team members to compose weekly team briefings and share cumulatively with SR / EXE leader as required
  • Support the CAM team in special projects on an as needed basis provided by Asst Director or Director of CAM

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time increasingly responsible professional staff administrative experience.

Substitution of Experience for Education:

  • Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.

Substitution of Education for Experience:

  • Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

OR

  • Four years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee.
