Job Summary The Sr Director of Finance Systems & Applications will lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of critical Finance and Accounting technology platforms. The Sr Director will have hands-on responsibility for the consolidation & forecasting systems and the design, delivery and improvement of BI reporting cubes critical to financial forecasting and reporting. In addition, this role manages a small team of analysts that assist in operating these and other financial systems. The ideal candidate combines the ability to work with senior leadership with strong finance domain knowledge, and deep technical capability. Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with C-suite executives including the CFO, CEO, CCO and CMO as and when required, to deliver financial information and insights through BI reporting.
- Directly manage and execute Corporate Flash reporting, ensuring 100% accuracy and real-time delivery of KPIs to the executive leadership team.
- Architect and build advanced BI dashboards that translate complex financial data into actionable insights for C-suite decision-making.
- Manage Finance and Accounting applications, including planning, consolidation, revenue recognition, close, expense management, incentive compensation, procurement, and related platforms.
- Ensure Finance and Accounting systems in your area align with Masimo's overall enterprise architecture, data strategy, and security standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Finance Systems analysts, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects, including vendor selection, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Act as the primary technology owner for Financial systems including Planful, OneStream, BlackLine, Xactly, Concur, Coupa, and other web-based Finance platforms.
- Coordinate closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, other IT teams and any other business team where data and process dependencies exist.
- Work directly with internal and external audit teams to define and test controls on applications, data, integrations, and reporting.
- Remain actively involved in system configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, and complex issue resolution.
- Own and manage the Finance technical stack, including interfaces with the data warehouse, business intelligence tools, and cloud applications.
- Perform hands-on coding or advanced configuration when required to resolve issues, enable enhancements, or accelerate delivery.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability across Finance systems and downstream reporting environments.
- Oversee Finance data flows into the enterprise data warehouse and BI tools, partnering with data teams as needed.
- Ensure Finance reporting and analytics meet executive, regulatory, and operational needs.
- Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, integrations, and key processes.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience Minimum Qualifications
- 7-10 years of progressive experience supporting Finance and Accounting systems.
- Strong functional understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, including close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Proven experience leading Finance systems implementations and managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Hands-on technical background, including experience with data warehouses, BI tools, integrations, and system configuration.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, Finance leaders, and technical teams, translating between business and technology.
- Experience with modern, cloud-based Finance applications such as Planful, OneStream, BlackLine, Xactly, Concur, and Coupa.
- Experience operating in an onsite, executive-facing environment with frequent leadership interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Oracle-based financial environments a definite plus.
- Experience in a medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $195K-$250K plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 20% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance. Physical requirements/Work Environment This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some travel, both international/local, is necessary.
