The firm is seeking an Enterprise Application Engineer to support the firm's core productivity and collaboration platforms, with a primary focus on iManage, Microsoft 365 Apps (Office), Office Add-Ins and Microsoft Teams. The role is responsible for day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of these services to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-quality end-user experience. This role reports to the firm's Associate Director, Enterprise Applications and partners closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, Information Security, and business stakeholders to deliver stable operations and effective enhancements. This role is a full-time, hybrid position, based out of our New York office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and support the firm's M365 environment, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint online, iManage On-Prem/Cloud, including user access, security groups, and troubleshooting issues related to desktop tools and Office integration.
  • Support automation, like matter/workspace operations, bulk document handling, bulk security updates.

    • (e.g., new workspace requests, troubleshooting profile issues, basic template/configuration support as applicable).


  • Manage requests and incidents related to the supported environment, including iManage integrations (Outlook, Office add-ins, other connected tools as applicable), escalating to vendors when needed.
  • Assist with testing and rollout of software and platform updates and new features; document changes and communicate impacts.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related add-ins.
  • Partner with other Technology teams to validate deployment/update approaches and reduce user disruption.
  • Support Microsoft Teams configuration and troubleshooting (Teams/Channels, meetings, policies, and common integration issues with Outlook/Exchange calendaring).
  • Participate in communications and change management for Teams feature updates and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues, implement and document corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user-facing guidance.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations as needed for maintenance windows and critical incidents.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in an AM LAW 100 firm.
  • Hands-on experience engineering and supporting iManage in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Apps (Office) and common enterprise add-ins.
  • Practical experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Teams in an enterprise setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, identity/authentication, endpoint, and network dependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset; ability to work effectively with attorneys and business professionals.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PowerShell and Power Automate scripting for administration, automation, and reporting.
  • Experience with identity and access concepts (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access) and Microsoft 365 administration tools.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related course of study from a major college program; OR degree in another field, supplemented with additional job experience and/or non-degree courses in computer systems studies.
