POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Special Events Assistant Manager is responsible for increasing awareness of Republic Bank through various business development events, banking center activities, community outreach and charitable efforts, ensuring a positive experience for guests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum of 3 years previous event planning and management experience is required.
* Demonstrated thorough knowledge of computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in planning & implementing business development luncheons for all markets within the banking system (Louisville, Lexington, NKY, FL, etc.), Includes communicating and follow-up with bank associates, executive management, vendors and invited guests as well as post event attendance and cost analysis.
* Assist in planning & implementing other special events. This includes selection of a venue and vendors needed to complete the project while working within a budget.
* Serves as back-up as needed to Special Events Manager.
* Assist MD of Community Relations with holiday gift planning for Banking Center and Officers.
* Assist MD of Community Relations with planning of community sponsored events in all markets; including Fund for the Arts and United Way.
* Assist in the coordination of the Derby Festival Pegasus pin program.
* Assist Executive Offices with Ticket-To-Events, Republic Bank Associate ticket lottery.
* Assist in the planning & implementation of other bank-wide events or promotions such as cookouts, company picnics, service recognition dinner, and other seasonal events.
* Ensure appropriate setups in meeting rooms and that the facilities are up to Republic Bank standards.
* Coordinate JCPS School to Work program.
* Prepare all billings and process vendor invoices for payment for the Department.
* Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
* Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
* Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
* Excellent written and oral communication skill. Ability to communicate with all levels of management within the company as well as constant interaction with a variety of vendors, clients, prospective clients and other guests.
* Ability to work independently within timeframes and budget constraints.
* Must be analytical, flexible, creative and detail oriented.
* Requires a high energy level and strong sense of urgency.

* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
