KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Tax BusinessEnablement Team to join our Tax practice.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic support for a group ofpartners and/or managing directors (PMDs) serving as a trusted business advisorand single point of contact for management and coordination of all businesssupport and engagement management, which includes, but is not limited to,leveraging and supervising the work of offshore resources and collaboratingwith other internal teams to efficiently and effectively manage opportunities,engagement setup, billing and collections, and engagement closeout, analyzingdata, solving problems, handling communication and stakeholder interactionswith discretion
  • Address issues to ensure the smooth operation ofengagements and realize business goals, this role also trains, develops, andprovides performance management to associates on the team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for thePMDs' portfolio, conducting detailed data analysis (including reviewing openopportunities, outstanding bills, investment reports, and unanticipated hoursor expenses charged to an engagement) to provide strategic recommendations thatdrive engagement success and optimize firm revenue
  • Own the billing and reconciliation process forassigned clients, including determining correct bill rates and chargeablehours, proactively initiating and managing billing based on independentanalysis of engagement metrics, client preferences, and interpretation of thespecific terms of engagement letters; identify and supervise relevant KPMGmember firm or other third-party activity when appropriate
  • Oversee the strategic set-up and maintenance ofengagement opportunities, tailoring processes to meet specific client needs andcompliance requirements while executing KPMG's pricing strategy, developingpricing workbooks during engagement setup and making informed decisions tooptimize financial outcomes
  • Develop networks and maintain strongrelationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, leveragingconnections to drive engagement success, which include interacting directlywith clients to request data, clarify information, deliver invoices, or addressquestions regarding payments or schedules
  • Coordinate administrative support for PMDs,leveraging Executive Assistants and other internal teams onshore and offshore,to ensure proactive management of PMD calendars based on business priorities,planning and coordination for client and internal meetings and events,including everything from developing agendas and meeting support materials toselecting venues/meeting locations and managing catering arrangements,management of itineraries and travel arrangements, ensuring optimal use of timeand resources, timely submission of expense reports and compliance with expensepolicies
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, andpersonal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous workenvironment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of recent experiencewithin a professional services environment
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from anaccredited college/university with a degree in accounting, finance, or businessadministration or a minimum of five years of experience within a professionalservices environment
  • Excellent technical skills, with demonstratedproficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn andutilize new technology and tools; Excellent data analysis and web-basedresearch skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;capability of interfacing effectively with individuals at all organizationallevels
  • Effective time and project management skills toensure the successful management of multiple projects simultaneously;demonstrated ability to independently address issues of moderate complexity
  • Ability to lead and develop technical skills toa team of Associates
