Responsible for providing quality patient care while producing ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The responsibilities also include completing scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest possible standards of patient care to provide the most remarkable patient experience. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Patient & Exam Verification: Confirm patient identity using two identifiers (full name and DOB). Review exam orders and clinical history. Prepare and clean equipment and rooms; restock supplies as needed. -Patient Care & Collaboration: Clearly explain procedures, considering patient comfort and confidentiality. Collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient workflow and scanner use. Provide care within the scope of training and licensure. -Department & On-Call Coverage: Participate in on-call, holiday, and flexible shift coverage as needed. -Clinical Performance: Perform ultrasound exams and assist with training staff and students. Operate equipment and follow protocols. Complete additional duties as assigned. -Research & Quality Initiatives: Support and participate in departmental research, QA, and improvement projects. Conduct research-related ultrasound exams as required. Education Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required or Associate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required and Bachelor's Degree Health Sciences preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred Experience Ultrasound Technologist 0-1 year required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Good communication skills. - Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve. - Ability to work independently. - Ability to guide, teach, and motivate others. - Good business acumen skills.
