Security Officer - Overnight Airport Part Time

As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting queue management, resolving minor disturbances, and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and/or control access points by checking credentials, verifying authorizations, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs as required by site policy.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
