This role serves as a senior strategic finance partner supporting investment decisions across key transformation and strategic initiatives. The position partners closely with business and finance leadership to evaluate opportunities, develop business cases, assess financial and operational tradeoffs, and provide decision support on capital allocation, ROI, and long-term value creation. This leader brings strong executive presence, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations that influence strategic decisions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

Business Partnership



  • Serve as a strategic finance advisor to business leaders on capital allocation, investment prioritization and decision making
  • Partner with business and transformation leaders to define key performance indicators, value drivers, and assumptions underlying business cases



    • Support cross-functional teams with financial insights for decision making
    • Facilitate cost-benefit analysis discussions that translate operational strategies into clear financial recommendations



  • Drive alignment on performance measures and value realization metrics to support informed decision-making
  • Lead post-implementation financial reviews to assess business outcomes, ROI, and lessons learned
  • Present financial insights and recommendations in monthly business reviews with program and finance leadership


Financial Planning & Analysis



  • Lead financial planning and forecast discussions for strategic programs in partnership with business leaders, FP&A, and finance leadership
  • Own rolling forecasts for assigned programs, including risks, opportunities, and scenario-based outlooks
  • Develop and refine financial models to assess ROI, payback, affordability, and strategic value of investment opportunities
  • Perform scenario, sensitivity, and tradeoff analysis to inform strategic choices and resource allocation
  • Partner with accounting and program leadership to optimize capitalization treatment and financial transparency
  • Oversee program spend to ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements, including accruals, FTE alignment, and cost allocation


Reporting & Insights



  • Deliver executive-ready financial insights on program performance, forecast changes, and emerging risks/opportunities
  • Provide clear monthly reporting that connects actuals, forecast, and budget to strategic outcomes
  • Synthesize financial results into actionable recommendations for business and finance leadership
  • Ensure governance materials are complete, accurate, and decision-ready in advance of leadership review forums


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 8 years of work experience beyond degree in progressively more responsible finance roles


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience partnering with senior leaders on strategic investments, prioritization, and resource allocation decisions
  • Experience presenting financial recommendations and tradeoffs to executive leadership
  • Demonstrated success translating complex financial and operational data into clear business insights


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 4 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $100,300 - $172,000. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $100,300 - $150,465. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
