Who we are and what we do:

The Tennessee Health Facilities Commission (HFC) is responsible for licensure, regulation, and investigation of health care facilities in the state of Tennessee. It also administers the Certificate of Need program, the Nursing Home Civil Monetary Penalty Fund, the Nurse Aide Registry, the Abuse Registry, and is the State Survey Authority (SSA) for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). As the State Survey Agency, we are a HIPAA covered entity.

Job Overview:

HFC is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Services Assistant 2. This position is based in Nashville, Tennessee and is responsible for accurately reviewing and processing licensure renewal applications for healthcare facilities of assigned programs. The initial schedule is full-time in the office for the first four to six weeks while in training. Once training is completed, the schedule is hybrid with two days in office and three days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately review and process licensure renewals for assigned programs Accurately process and review all change of ownership applications associated with licensing health care facilities Conduct research and compile data as needed Perform data entry tasks using various software programs Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentation Proofread documents for accuracy, grammar, and completeness

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to one year of professional staff administrative and/or analytic experience. Qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis to a maximum of four years.
