Baptist Health is looking for a Patient Safety Officer to join our team in Louisville, KY!

Coordinates and provides direct clinical support for the patient safety and the risk managementprogram. Manages Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) activities, including the management ofPatient Safety Work Product (PSWP). Also provides support to the Patient Safety-Risk ManagementDepartment overall strategies and operations. Works with Clinical Providers and Leadership to improveprocesses and reduce frequency and severity of undesirable events or trends in patient care or facilitymanagement.

The Patient Safety Officer participates in pro-active risk assessments based on relevantliterature. Works with the Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management to provide oversight;recommends preventative and/or remedial solutions that will improve safety, reduce hazards, prevent loss,transfer risks, and minimize the chance of harm to patients, visitors, staff, and the organization. Worksclosely with the leaders, physicians, employees, other key operational stakeholders and BH LegalDepartment and Counsel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required inNursing or clinically relatedHealthcare Field.

• 5 years job-related experience.

• CPHRM (Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager) preferred.

• Travel required.
