Job Summary:
The Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (WVDL) is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Professional to support the technology needs of a dynamic laboratory environment. This role provides general desktop support for WVDL staff and assists with system administration for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The position includes delivering end-user support, training and documentation to promote efficient use of WVDL hardware, software, and applications. A well-qualified candidate will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic work environment. They will also have excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and end users. The IT Professional position plays an essential role in onboarding new staff, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. This individual collaborates closely with the WVDL IT team, as well as laboratory personnel, administrative teams and management to support and improve IT systems, contributing to the reliability and success of WVDL operations.
