The Clinic Endoscopy Assistant escorts discharged patients from the hospital to personal vehicles after medical procedures in the endoscopy unit. Working under close supervision, this role assists with the transportation of items and communication of information to callers to the hospital. Essential Job Function Assists with answering the telephone to direct calls or take messages to deliver communications to the appropriate group. Restocks and distributes supplies and equipment in order to prepare surgery rooms for incoming patients. Transports discharged patients from the hospital to personal vehicles in wheelchairs in order to deliver them safely to a mode of transportation home. Supports with increasing bed turnover in order to decrease wait times for incoming patients. Handles the delivery of items around the main hospital in order to keep hospital rooms stocked efficiently. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Preferred: 1 year Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
