Lead Emergency Technician at Providence Portland Medical Center is 0.9 FTE full time position working during weekdays and weekends on a day shift.

The Lead Emergency Technician oversees the work of Emergency Technicians. The position coordinates the completion of the orientation on all new Emergency Technicians, Patient Care Techs and Health Unit Coordinators, in a timely manner, working collaboratively with the Nurse Educator. The position oversees the stocking of and cleaning of the department as well as the completion of all daily checklists. Acts as a resource to the other technicians. Promotes and supports quality patient care with customer service. The position reports to the Supervisor of Emergency Services.

Required Qualifications:



  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 2 years recent Emergency Technician experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: EMT, EMS, CNA1, and/or CNA2

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
