Job Summary: |
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a highly organized Research Services Manager to lead the research arm of the department through the administration of the Psychiatry Research Innovations Core. This person will be responsible for setting strategy for research within the Department of Psychiatry in collaboration with the Vice Chair of Research including co-facilitating the research retreats. The Research Services Manager will oversee strategy related to all grants and contracts, research administration, and pre and post award for the department. They will provide administrative partnership with the Research Advisor Committee and manage all administrative tasks related to this as well as overseeing the work completed by the part-time administrative assistant for the group. This role will be responsible for the budgeting and funding management of this core with support from the Associate Director of Finance and Administration in collaboration with key collaborators including the Chair, the Director of Finance and Administration, the Division Administrators and Directors and key division research leaders. This position will be responsible for the creation of policies and procedures related to research services professionals, specifically onboarding, continued training, and cross coverage when possible. The PRI manager will oversee and support the departmental strategic goals for KPIs for publication management and collections. The position will also be responsible for managing outside MOUs for shared services across campus. This position will be collaborating in coordination of the following: poster sessions, PURPLE, grant searches, engagement with trainees and training directors, and coordination of learning opportunities. Finally, this person will be in charge of managing all personnel including both promotions and terminations. Key Responsibilities:
Implement and manage Departmental KPI tracking data process Collaborate with DOP Strategy PD, VC, and Division leaders in identifying and most significant areas of reporting and pull monthly/quarterly reports for executive leaders Set and implement 1, 3, and 5 year goals for research in collaboration with the VC of Research Plan and support the annual research retreat Manage employees including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and employee concerns Manage funding for all personnel including Research Services Professionals and faculty Manage ticketing systems including pulling data related to types of tickets, days open, and division usage Collaborate with other core, office, and divisional leaders to support research in different areas across the department

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of up to 4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution 4-6 years of professional experience of research administration and/or grant and contract administration
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $75,000 - $92,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
