Now Hiring: Technical Communicator (Heavy Equipment | Technical Support | Failure Analysis) At Mustang Cat, we don't just service equipment-we support the people who keep Texas moving. As a Technical Communicator, you'll play a critical role in connecting field and shop technicians with Caterpillar engineering resources to solve complex technical challenges. The Technical Communicator serves as a key technical resource for service operations across the organization. Primary Responsibilities: * Provide advanced technical support to shop and field service teams * Communicate directly with Caterpillar engineers via the DSN network to resolve complex issues * Perform detailed failure analysis on equipment and components * Assist shop and field personnel with warranty repair process * Collaborate with district Caterpillar representatives to troubleshoot and resolve issues * Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners * Support workload coverage across the team as needed Required Qualifications: * Minimum 5+ years of experience in an equipment repair environment * Strong mechanical aptitude (diesel, heavy equipment, or related) * Experience with failure analysis * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Experience working with customers and internal stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of DBS and SIS systems * Experience interacting with OEM engineering teams * Associate's Degree in Diesel Technology or related technical field * Bachelor's Degree in Ag Mechanization or similar field This position is critical to keeping our technicians productive and our customers operational. You'll be the bridge between real-world field challenges and OEM engineering solutions-helping drive faster resolutions and better outcomes across the business.
