Description
The Certified Anesthesia Provider is a highly skilled non-physician anesthesia clinician who works within the Anesthesia Care Team model as described by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). The Certified Anesthesia Provider role may be fulfilled by either a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA), both of whom will work under the direction of licensed physician anesthesiologists to implement anesthesia care plans. They are trained extensively in the delivery and maintenance of quality anesthesia care as well as advanced patient monitoring techniques.
