We partner with families, employers, and community organizations to help people live, work, and thrive. ________________________________________ Role Overview VersAbility Resources is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to support our Facilities team by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across assigned areas. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and welcoming for employees, visitors, and individuals we serve. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. ________________________________________ What You'll Do *Perform routine and detailed cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting *Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas in accordance with organizational standards *Operate custodial equipment safely and effectively *Use and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and MSDS standards *Ensure custodial supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stocked *Complete required documentation and reports related to custodial duties *Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding performance or supply needs *Participate in required training and follow all safety protocols *Maintain quality standards as established by VersAbility Resources and its customers *Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures *Perform other duties as assigned ________________________________________ Qualifications *High school diploma or GED (preferred) *Minimum of 2 years of custodial or janitorial experience (preferred) *Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemical use *Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently *Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain compliance with policies *Strong attention to detail and reliability *Ability to work flexible hours as needed ________________________________________ Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position operates in a variety of environments, primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work as needed. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50 pounds and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout the shift. Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and odors.
