What will you do as Maintenance Manager at Sealed Air?

As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance function within the plant, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all production equipment and facilities. This role requires a balance between hands-on technical involvement and team leadership, with approximately equal focus on both. You will oversee troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing team capabilities and supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, including training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Build and strengthen technical capabilities within a relatively junior maintenance team
  • Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
  • Actively participate in hands-on problem solving and support critical equipment issues when needed
  • Drive preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime
  • Oversee maintenance of machinery, forklifts, trucks, and facility infrastructure
  • Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and installation of equipment based on technical drawings and specifications
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ordering processes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with plant and company goals
  • Provide off-hours support and be available for urgent plant needs when required

What skills will help you succeed?

  • Experience in continuous manufacturing environments
  • Experience implementing maintenance KPIs
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Basic to intermediate PLC troubleshooting knowledge
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable
  • Ability to work hands-on while also leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience training and developing less experienced technicians
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and ability to provide timely updates to stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent operational needs
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills (CMMS, Excel, reporting tools)
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail

Pay Transparency

  • $93,100 - $139,700 annually


The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined byconsidering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment.
