Title: Press Operator

Department: Rubber

Shift: 3rd Shift; Monday - Fridays from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Must be able to work overtime, will be required to work several Saturdays

Summary:Responsible for inserting a rubber preform (uncured rubber) into a press, removing the hot cured rubber and hand trimming the waste by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Will need to read and understand a schedule while using a computer interface to record production
• Preform and understand critical quality checks and be able to accurately measure specifications
• Will need to insert and remove rubber weighting 15 pounds into a press that is 300 degrees Fahrenheit
• Need to trim and hand stack cured tile ? Will need to preform quality check before and after the material is cured
• Will need strong communication skills, a teamwork mindset and be able to work in tandem with another associate
• Operator must rotate positions with the Waterjet Operator, Tile Punch Press Operator, and Refining Mill
• Overtime is/may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Operator must understand and follow 5S and good housekeeping in their respective areas
• Must adhere to all safety policies within Mannington, The Rubber Plant and specific to job being preformed ? Operators will Clean their equipment throughout the shift and at shutdowns
