Job Title: Head Football Athletic Trainer Department: Athletics College/Division: General University Primary Job Posting Location: Macon, GA 31207 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: Mercer University Athletics is searching for a Head Football Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities: The Head Football Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing comprehensive health care for student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics. This position will work in conjunction with a variety of approved healthcare providers. This role serves as the primary liaison and coordinator of athletic training services, working with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, academics, and athletics administration for all football-related medial matters. The Head Football Athletic Trainer must comply with HIPAA regulations, University policy, and NCAA compliance. While the primary sport assignment will be football, administrative duties and other sport assignments will be determined by Director of Sports Medicine. The incumbent is responsible for administering athlete-centered health care for scholar-athletes at Mercer University. This includes the examination, assessment, and diagnosis of injuries and illnesses; injury and illness prevention and wellness promotion; immediate and emergency care; and therapeutic intervention. The incumbent must uphold the professional and ethical standards set forth by the BOC and the NATA. They must also adhere to the regulations set forth by the state of Georgia. The position is primarily assigned to football but may be required to support other sport programs and perform administrative duties as determined by the Director of Sports Medicine. Qualifications:
