We currently have an exciting career opportunity in our Executive Compensation Consulting practice in Bloomington, MN. The Senior Associate Consultant will be part of a highly productive team of industry experts. In our team-based work environment, you will have a vital role in delivering data-enabled solutions to our clients. Senior Associate Consultants are provided extensive exposure to senior leaders and clients.

Employees will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of assignments/experiences including: executive and director compensation, broad based compensation benchmarking, incentive plan design, industry research, marketing and business development, internal and client training, template design and administration, and report writing.

This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the office a few days per week.

Job Responsibilities:

You will play a key role in supporting Aon's Human Capital Solutions by delivering tailored compensation strategies and solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Compensation Benchmarking: Conduct comprehensive compensation benchmarking analyses to provide clients with insights into competitive pay practices. Use market data and trends to develop recommendations that align with client objectives.
  • Incentive Plan Design: Collaborate with team members to design incentive plans that empower and reward executives and employees effectively. Analyze plans and suggest improvements to coincide with business goals.
  • Report Writing and Presentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to clients. Ensure that all results are clear, concise, and tailored to the client's specific needs.
  • Industry Research and Analysis: Conduct industry research to stay informed about trends and developments in executive compensation. Use this knowledge to advise client engagements and contribute to thought leadership within the team.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Suggested Experience:

  • 1+ years of analytics experience
  • Executive compensation experience preferred
Skills:
  • An interest in compensation consulting and financial services / consulting services is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (chart/graph creation, lookups, array formulae, nested ifs, pivot tables, etc.) and MS PowerPoint (creating smart and professional presentations with commentary) is required.
  • Successful candidates will be self-starters with the ability to learn and work independently and collaboratively within a team on several projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Diligent note-taker. Fast learner.
  • Strong analytical skills. Creative innovation and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Self-confidence and humility.
  • Ability to manage multiple time critical tasks and skills to effectively communicate with supervisors.
  • Act as a mentor and be seen as an inspiring leader on the analyst team.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics. Other majors will also be considered.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85,000 to $95,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Bloomington, MN. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
