Title: Fiscal Management III Duration: Contract
Location: Bartow, FL 33830
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Onsite Pay Rate: $15/HR
Role Description:
- Must possess the physical, developmental and mental ability to perform job tasks, work efforts, responsibilities and duties of the job illustrated below:
Illustrative Duties:
- Financial Processing: Manages invoices, purchase orders, and P-card allocations from receipt to final payment authorization.
- Budgetary Control: Monitors grant funds and account balances to ensure expenditures stay within allocated limits.
- Compliance & Auditing: Conducts audits to ensure all spending follows county, state, and federal regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Produces monthly, annual, and special fiscal reports, including statistical analysis for program evaluation.
- Record Management: Designs accounting forms and maintains digital archives by scanning all processed financial records.
- Strategic Support: Advises management on fiscal procedures, assists in system development, and monitors contract/bid statuses.
- Inter-departmental Liaison: Coordinates with Procurement and other units to streamline fiscal documentation and resolve P-card issues.
Knowledge, And Skills:
- Bookkeeping principles and purchasing procedures.
- Record keeping methods, practices, and procedures.
- Office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- English, punctuation, spelling, and arithmetic.
Required Ability:
- Make accurate mathematical calculations.
- Maintain accounting records and prepare reports.
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with the public and other employees.
- Type, utilizing personal computers, related software, and other office equipment of the assigned work unit.
- Work independently and adhere to prescribed routines and practices.
- Develop effective work methods and procedures.
- Prepare, draft, and compose routine documents including business letters, memoranda, and related program materials.
- Oversee the work of others
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of bookkeeping or related responsible accounting/fiscal experience, including a minimum of five (5) years of accounting, governmental administrative or related business administration experience which includes budget preparation. A comparable amount of training and related experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
- Must be able to utilize all features afforded by word processing software and other required software and personal computers utilized by assigned unit.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver's license at time of employment within this classification.
