We are seeking a Relationship Banking Manager to join our team! You'll be on the front end of working for an innovative bank with commercial lending, a mortgage lending leader, and a digital deposit bank covering over 40 states. Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude.

What you'll do:



  • Manage branch staff, including scheduling, performance development, and disciplinary action.
  • Responsible for branch audits, including debit card audits and operational audits.
  • Directs (or oversees) management of the ATM, vault, and safe deposit area.
  • Approve all wires, cashier's checks, mobile deposits, fee-waiving requests and check approvals.
  • Responsible for quality control on all paperwork and new account documentation or may directly oversee other Team Members in these tasks.
  • Reviews and authorizes large deposit items for acceptance or hold while mitigating risk for the Bank.
  • Reviews and approves all debit card exceptions.
  • Assists customers with the most complex financial questions and transactions.
  • Works directly with supervisor and other leaders to carry out strategies and policies of the Bank, relating to client experience and business development efforts.
  • Represents the Bank in the local community at various civic events and volunteer efforts.
  • Provide retail and commercial banking services to clients both in person, over the phone, and meeting customers offsite.
  • Using your strong financial acumen, you will provide suggestions and solutions to our clients including account openings, consumer lending, and money market products, while focusing on the client's financial goals.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service through attentiveness, listening and connecting with customers, and processing transactions quickly and accurately while providing a positive banking environment.
  • Assist customers with debit card maintenance, creating and printing debit cards.
  • Assist with digital banking needs, answer phones, and provide general financial services information.
  • Act in accordance with all required banking and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform higher-level administrative functions related to debit cards and online banking.
  • Prepare daily overdraft reports.
  • Provide banking service to customers offsite. There will occasionally be the need to meet our commercial customers at a public location or their place of business to shuttle documentation and banking transactions.
  • Process all necessary banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, GL tickets, originate wires, cashier's checks, savings bonds, etc.
  • Successfully balance teller drawer daily and maintain and balance ATM as necessary.
  • Compile information and documentation for stop pays, account closings, and input information to the system.
  • Perform work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, refers only the most difficult issues and problems to Management. Possesses strong working knowledge and provides coaching and mentoring to others.



What you need to be successful:



  • 2+ years of management/team lead experience
  • 5-7 years of direct experience as in commercial or retail banking or similar financial services position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong Customer service skills
  • Cash handling experience
  • Intermediate Excel skills (at minimum)
  • Must be a self-starter and able to demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Quick learner and adaptable
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
