Drives mammography mammovan to various screening sites throughout Puget Sound; selects routes best suited for travel; ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and regulations; schedules regular service and maintenance for truck and cars and keeps records of all such service; performs site surveys; coordinates daily image transfer from mammovan to clinic for radiologist review; while on shift performs all set up activities to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

This position will be part-time, 0.6FTE, and the schedule will be 12 hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 5:30AM - 6:00PM with some variability.



Responsibilities

    Performs daily pre-trip check and complete checklist forms; Troubleshoots mechanical equipment problems and determines if service is necessary.
  • Coordinates the daily image transfer from mobile to clinic for radiologists reading.
  • Performs site surveys and creates driving directions ensuring accessibility and parking availability for staff and patients.
  • Always assures the comfort and safety of the patient.
  • Daily restocking of supplies; demonstrates a cost-effective use of supplies and materials.
  • Maintains an excellent driving record; reports all infractions or accidents to appropriate authorities and supervisor immediately; completes all accident reports.
  • Provides on-site training as needed.
  • Maintains current WA State Class "A" commercial driver's license.
  • Participates in random drug and alcohol screening tests.
  • Provides courier services during the day to move necessary people and/or supplies between Fred Hutch campus locations, patient housing sites.
  • Practicing proper housekeeping by keeping job sites & trucks clean, putting tools away, and ensuring an organized workspace


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Washington State Class "A" commercial driver's license
  • Current medical examination report filed with the WA State Department of Transportation associated with Class "A" commercial driver's license
  • 2 years of commercial driving experience
  • Must have good customer relations skills.
  • Must have no major infractions or accidents for the past three consecutive years
  • Must be able to pass driving road test
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
  • Computer and MS program skills.

Preferred:

  • Able to prioritize work assignments and adjust tasks as needed.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volumes or staffing needs (may include overtime, flexing, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays)

The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.26 to $44.51 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.

This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
