We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer with an application security focus. This role centers on building backend services, primarily in Java, and developing internal security dashboards that help teams understand and act on security findings. Responsibilities * Build and maintain backend services that power internal security dashboards * Develop security tooling that helps engineering teams see risk, ownership, and remediation status * Turn security findings into clear, actionable insights for developers * Work closely with engineers, security partners, and technical leaders to improve secure development practices * Identify gaps in application security workflows and build scalable solutions * Own features from design through delivery and ongoing improvement * Automate reporting, data integration, and ownership tracking to reduce manual effort * Contribute to shared engineering patterns, standards, and best practices * Support proofs of concept and demos with stakeholders and end users Qualifications * Strong software development experience with a solid Java background * Experience working within or alongside an application security or security-focused engineering team * Hands-on experience integrating security tools into development workflows * Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across technical teams Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
