MDM Migration Specialist (POS Device Software Installer) Workplace Type: Onsite Location: Columbus, Ohio Pay Rate: $32/hour (W2) Contract Length: 6 months Overview The Installer Team is responsible for the remote upgrade of Point-of-Sale (POS) handheld devices across a global retail fleet. The MDM Migration Specialist will support a large-scale initiative migrating Android-based handheld devices from a legacy Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform to a new environment. This role focuses on remote upgrades, tracking progress, and partnering with internal teams to meet daily deployment goals. What You'll Be Doing * Perform remote software upgrades and migrations of POS handheld devices * Migrate Android devices from legacy MDM to the current MDM platform * Follow daily store deployment schedules and meet project quotas * Update project tracking and documentation as work progresses * Escalate technical or process issues to the project lead as needed * Participate in daily team stand-ups and project meetings * Provide regular status updates to leadership * Support and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders What You Bring * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment * Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal) * High attention to detail with excellent follow-through * Self-motivated and able to work independently * 1+ year of experience working with Android OS devices in a retail environment Additional Skills & Qualifications (Preferred) * Prior retail experience * Experience supporting or troubleshooting Android-based POS or handheld devices Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.
