Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery Center

The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the AORN regulations and professional standards of care.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Operative Care:
-Conduct pre-operative assessments and screenings
-Provide comprehensive patient education regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care
Post-Operative Care:
-Provide immediate post-operative care and monitoring in PACU or recovery areas
-Educate patients and families on post-op recovery protocols and self-care
-Address any patient concerns or complications promptly

-MA RN license required
-Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required
-Ability to circulate and scrub preferred
-Completion of a Peri-Operative Nursing Program preferred
-Orthopedic surgical experience required
-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
-AORN certification preferred
