Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Folder/Sorter.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for collecting soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Collects bags of linen, places in truck and transports to the main soiled linen holding room.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follows safety guidelines and meets physical effort standards. Advises supervisor of any hazardous conditions. Follows established departmental safety guidelines. Follows established infection control guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Collects soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Packs bags of linen in to trucks and transports truck to the main soiled linen collection room. Uses proper personal protective equipment when working in the chute rooms as well as with the soiled linen.
• Provides the delivery of clean linen and scrubs to all distribution points in the hospital. Set-ups AM linen carts for delivery of linen to distribution points throughout the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Must be able to read, speak, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Should be able to perform simple arithmetic calculation.

Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $25.52 - $25.52 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
