Responsibilities

Responsible ongoing administration of the Jack Henry Silverlake core application, and other ancillary Jack Henry applications. Work closely with software vendors to ensure reliability, and integrity of the bank's core processing environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Monitor the health of the Jack Henry Core application.
    • Function as the technical liaison with Jack Henry Associates (JHA) regarding maintenance (including core application purge processing, releases, fixes, monitoring JH updates, and troubleshooting.
    • Work with vendors to develop and implement effective escalation procedures for resolution of core software issues.
    • Tracks outstanding issues with vendors and conducts appropriate follow-up to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Coordinates with vendors, IT System Administration, and application personnel to install and test releases, patches, and upgrades in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Works with vendor and bank application personnel to implement new product installations and upgrades that interface with the core system
    • Woks with vendor and department representatives on data mapping or mining of the core application.
  • Work with the designated night processing personnel to develop and maintain procedures and policies for proper execution of the night jobs associated with the JHA systems.
    • Monitor daily logs of key events regarding nightly processing to insure that night processing is timely, and complete.
    • Work with identified resource to ensure that cross coverage exists in his/her absence.
  • Function as the security administrator for the JHA environment.
    • Work with the Department Manager, Manager of Tech Support and Information Security in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures regarding security of the JHA environment.
  • Coordinate bank-wide Change Management testing for releases, and maintain appropriate documentation for testing. Manage and complete form promotion through turnover and maintain required documentation.
  • Perform Year End Processing in test and production environment including Year End tax submission.
  • Report to management on performance, responsiveness, and outstanding issues regarding the core application environment on a regular basis.

Ancillary Duties:

Provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Information Technology Department and the bank in achieving their annual goals.


Qualifications

Education/Training/Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience; extensive experience with and training on change management processes, installation and maintenance of vendor supplied software. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills:

  • Proficient reading, writing, mathematics and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills. Must be able to thoroughly document processes and work performed.

Experience:

  • 5 years experience in Information Technology in a banking or financial environment part of which should include application adminitration duties
