Credence has an immediate opening for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide cybersecurity, information assurance, and security compliance support for classified and sensitive information systems supporting the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). This role is responsible for implementing and sustaining system security controls, supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, managing vulnerabilities and incidents, and maintaining information system authorization and continuous monitoring artifacts. The ISSO works closely with system administrators, mission owners, and Government security officials to ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and mission-ready in accordance with DoD and Intelligence Community cybersecurity policies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:
- Provide Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity support for classified and sensitive information systems
- Perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties, supporting system authorization, accreditation, and sustainment activities
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including security control implementation, assessment support, and continuous monitoring
- Maintain and update system security documentation and compliance artifacts, including POA&Ms, control evidence, and vulnerability tracking data
- Conduct vulnerability management activities, including identification, tracking, remediation support, and validation of findings
- Support incident response activities, including coordination, documentation, and reporting of information system security incidents
- Ensure ongoing security compliance with applicable Government, DoD, and Intelligence Community policies and guidance
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders to meet inspection, audit, and reporting requirements
- Support continuous improvement of system security posture and cybersecurity hygiene
- Perform all duties on Government-provided networks and at Government facilities in accordance with security requirements

Education, Requirements and Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with current special access program (SAP) access desired
- Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology supporting classified or sensitive systems including:
- Demonstrated experience performing Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties in secure environments
- Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including security control implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring
- Proficiency in security compliance, vulnerability management, and maintenance of accreditation artifacts (e.g., POA&Ms, control evidence)
- Experience supporting incident response, including identification, reporting, and coordination of remediation activities
- Working knowledge of network and system administration in classified or enterprise environments
- Experience supporting configuration management and changing control processes in accordance with cybersecurity policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community systems
- Familiarity with classified network environments and security compliance assessments
- Experience supporting authorization and continuous monitoring activities in secure environments
Work Environment
- On-site support within secure Government facilities.
- Standard duty hours are Monday-Friday during Government operating hours, with potential surge or off-hours support as required by mission needs.
